The sun is shining here today and finally, I'm beginning to feel a twinge of excitement . . . the show is coming: The Art of 7 - it opens on Tuesday night. Tomorrow we head to the Crypt Gallery to hang it all and then Tuesday evening should be full of fun, drinks, and a gathering-of-people. A little sliver of silver lining. Things are beginning to calm a little - how it will all pan out remains to be seen . . . .
It's not easy dealing with domestics, managing a school holiday (it's half term here), and trying to work too. I've been relying on kind friends and family, snatching a few hours here and there to finish and finalise bits and pieces for the show:
The image at the top is from a day in half term where I tried to persuade youngest to do some art with me. Together we destroyed a couple of books (I'm undecided if this piece of mine will make it in to the show - it's made up of book and play pages, magazine collage, a vintage knitting pattern and an 'ink' creation of mine). We sat at the table cutting, arranging and gluing. Although admittedly it's not his 'thing'. Aspergers is an interesting one. He simply wants to go on the computer and it takes all my might to entice him to do something else. . . . and in a nutshell, he's just not interested, hmm.

I hope to see any of you who can make it at the PV. It's on for two weeks and I will be there for the odd day invigilating too.
